What jewellery did you wear in the portrait? Necklace and three bracelets - all silver pieces from Handcrafted (some of them custom designs).

What is your own favourite piece of jewellery, and why? It’s probably my bracelets, because I see them more on a daily basis, whether I’m working on the computer or working out in the gym. They don’t really have any emotional ties, I just see them more. It’s kind of the same story with the tattoos on my hand - which they also compliment just fine btw.

Can you describe a cherished memory connected to jewellery? I remember my mom once giving me a chain with a small silver tooth of mine as a pendant. She made it herself. She also made one for my dad. It got lost somewhere. Which bothers me. Would be nice to pick up again.

What does jewellery mean to you? I’ve always been wearing all types of jewellery ever since I was a small kid. So perhaps, I was just always one for accessorising. Kind of next level now with my body being covered in colourful ink as well. Both tattoos and jewellery are personal expressions of a causal attitude and way of living, regardless of the uniform and daily activities.

How do you use jewellery – do you have a daily uniform, do you wear special pieces for parties, is it embellishment, a second skin, or? In addition to the above, the jewellery is pretty much just an extension of my personal expression. I never take them off. That’s kind of the go-to criteria when searching for new pieces. If they need to come off for training, sleeping or taking a shower - then they’ll most likely just end up in the drawer. Speaking from experience here. I’m probably just really convenient. Plus, I like the look of wearing jewellery while doing sports or in settings with not a lot of clothes, such as on the beach.
