Polly Wales is a British-born jewelry designer known for her pioneering Cast-not-Set technique—where gemstones are cast directly into molten gold to create one-of-a-kind treasures. Rooted in the anarchic energy of the 1990s UK rave and counterculture scene, her work rejects perfection in favor of freedom, rebellion, and lived-in beauty. Alongside her partner, James Firman, Polly leads a Los Angeles-based studio of goldsmiths and wax sculptors who share her uncompromising approach to craft. Two decades on, her ethos remains unchanged: make it by hand, break the rules, and—quite frankly—fuck the norm.
